Souleymane in Saigon

Souleymane messaged me on Instagram about a Ho Chi Minh City photoshoot that blended more modern fashion styles with traditional locations. Instead of doing the shoot in the areas of the city more known to tourists in District 1, we went just a bit north to Binh Thanh district. Starting nice and early at the Tomb of Le Van Duyet and then wandering the surrounding morning market, we made our way through shoppers, the school drop off, motorbikes, early-rising exercisers, and lots of produce. After getting some fresh pineapple and having a really shy girl ask for a photo with Souleymane, we jumped in a car for a quick ride (and a little AC) to our final stop. Off to the Emperor Jade Pagoda, just after it had opened for the morning. We finished off our boss photoshoot in front of the pink walls of this stylish pagoda.

Pagoda. Market. Style. Check, check, check.

Some stellar photos and a great start to the day. Also check.

Thank you Souleymane for working with me for these photos. I hope we brought your vision to life.

If you are looking to make some memories in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and also some photos while you’re at it, send me a message. The best way to reach me is (if I’m being honest) on my Instagram.
